A Message from the President
The Andrew Johnson Heritage Association plays a major role in supporting the activities of the Museums of Tusculum College. As these Museums are totally funded by donors, admissions, shop sales, and grants, I encourage you to join us in keeping alive the memory of President Andrew Johnson as well as contributing to the development of the Museums and the National History Day Program.
Join us in helping students achieve their dreams. Join us in engendering a deeper understanding of Andrew Johnson and the importance of history to public memory in a self-governing republic.
In 1841, Andrew Johnson donated twenty dollars to the Reverend Samuel Witherspoon Doak, toward the construction of "Old College", the building that now bears Johnson's name.
Please, join the Andrew Johnson Heritage Association in continuing this grand "Tradition of Service and Education".
Joyce H. Doughty
President, Andrew Johnson Heritage Association
